He was a state level tennis champion during his school days, but he wasn’t called Aamir Khan back then. He was known as Aamir Hussain.

Recently, Aamir was spotted at a South Mumbai sports club playing tennis. And while his presence created furore, his game got him a lot of applause. The actor says it was a 30-year reunion of tennis champs and he was also invited to play. He was pleasantly surprised that the man who coached him was still a part of the tennis fraternity. “Now we have decided to get together once a year for a tennis reunion,” says Aamir. He modestly confesses that he didn’t recognise many of the players. “But they recognised me, thanks to my profession,” he says with his wry sense of humour.
